Cahoots - Where and Why?

First Gig - Vic's Party

The innaugural gig for Cahoots was Vic's birthday party at the Working Men's Club in Rugby.  Loads of friends and family were there and I think many were surprised that we pulled it off!  It went really well and was a great starting point for the Cahoots journey.  (Note to self: choose venues without dB limiting systems!!!)

YFC Fundraiser

Gig number 2 under us belts.  Another amazing evening.  The main reason for the evening was to raise funds for Rugby Youth For Christ.  Cahoots played 2 sets; the second cut short before Ross could show his mettle with Wipeout as Simon had amp issues.  Still, a full dance floor thoughout and new material introduced and enjoyed.  To top it off, loads of money was raised which was brilliant.

Stu & Em's Wedding

Wedding + Christmas = great crowd.  This was a great honour, playing for our faithful drummer Ross' brother and his wife for their evening celebration. The audience wer warmed up with some slower "tunes" with the Cahoots twist before we brought out some of our more well-known offerings.  Ross was "encouraged" into Wipeout by the baying crowd and did an amazing job (even in his kilt!).  Some video of this gig should hopefully make it's way onto the website soon.

Chris & Dawn's Wedding

Another wedding.  We played at the wedding itself and our rendition of "I'm a believer" seemed to go down well.  The reception was at the Benn Hall in Rugby; easily the biggest venue to date.  We played 2 sets which both went by really quickly.  We also performed 3 of our own songs for the first time and these were well received.  We plan on doing a recording sometime soon and may well include some of these.  Watch this space......
